Hiring a Clinical Device Integration Engineer!

Our client is looking for a Clinical Device Integration Engineer to join their team for a long term contract opportunity located in Woburn, Massachusetts. This role is primarily onsite and local travel will be required.

The Clinical Device Integration Engineer will focus on integrating clinical devices with EHR systems and will be responsible for the ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated clinical devices being supported by the Masimo interface. In this role, you will lead in collaboration between internal teams including interfaces, EHR application teams, Clinical engineering, and Infrastructure teams, as well as external vendors and partners. You will also lead integration projects, adhering to the IT System Lifecycle methodology, producing functional and /or technical specifications, conducting meetings, completing system upgrades and coordinating volume testing, leading and adhering to the IT system change management processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the user community to develop functional business requirements that adhere to the standard IT project methodology
  • The lead in resolving cross-functional issues that are escalated throughout the development, testing, implementation, and support of the lifecycle.
  • Supports assigned production environments, troubleshoots technical application issues, documents incoming requests whether handled internally in IS or with a vendor. Delivers high quality support during the implementation of new devices.
  • Provides Clinical device related guidance to other team members.
  • Maintains/Writes documentation and procedures for managing integrated clinical devices with the EHR.
  • Provide updates on status and progress of support tasks and projects.

Top skills you need to have:

  • 3-5 years related work experience required in working in an Information Services Dept. or software vendor organization within the health industry
  • Advance technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems
  • Epic bridges preferred
