DevOps Architect

100% Remote

6 month Contract with possibility to extension

Position Requirements:

  • Review and provide insight into updating the existing DevOps Architecture and provide recommendation, get buy-in and implement the updates
  • Validate existing DevOps strategy and tool set and provide recommendations to enhance tool set based on industry standards
  • Collaborate with the project team for reviewing requirements, defining project scope, planning and delivering work timely
  • Assist with implementation of DevOps initiatives, including:
  • Standardizing and enhancing CICD pipelines (includes enhancing unit testing/code coverage and static security scanning)
  • Implement Docker builds and container deployments to Nomad
  • Enhance and Automate DevOps Request processing with Service Desk
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket
  • Pipelines Scripting tools such as PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Ant
  • Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira
  • Source code management tools such Git, Bitbucket, Subversion
  • Experience with container (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Nomad), container registries (Docker Hub)
  • Experience with software development using .NET/.NET Core and SQL
  • Provide timely updates for deliverable status and manage escalations appropriately
  • Guide DevOps team to help enhance their DevOps skillset

Experience with:

  • Implementing builds with Maven
  • Scripting with Groovy
  • Java
  • Web development (e.g., HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node.js)
  • Cloud-based DevOps pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Review and provide insight into updating the existing DevOps Architecture and provide recommendations, get buy-in and implement the updates
  • Validate existing DevOps strategy and tool set and provide recommendations to enhance tool set based on industry standards
  • Automate DevOps Requests, Administer and manage DevSecOps toolset
  • Create, enhance, and troubleshoot automated processes for CI/CD and deployment of TEA software
  • Recommend system and process improvements; evaluate, recommend assist with implementation of new technologies and/or technology upgrades
  • Monitor application health and performance using APM tools such as Dynatrace or SolarWinds
