What You’ll Do

SAP BTP ABAP Environment is the SAP Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development that enables developers to leverage their traditional on-premises ABAP know-how to develop and run ABAP Cloud applications in the SAP Business Technology Platform, either as extension to SAP software or as standalone applications. SAP BTP ABAP Environment is built on- and leveraging the latest cloud technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

As a Site Reliability Engineer you play a key role in managing and enhancing our cloud service. Your daily responsibilities will include actively monitoring our services to ensure optimal performance and pinpointing opportunities for enhancements. Additionally, you'll contribute to creating innovative tools designed for effective monitoring, troubleshooting and testing - all while adhering to the core principles of Site Reliability Engineering.

This position operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule during regular business hours.

Required Skills

Strong analytical thinking skills and a desire to thoroughly understand and resolve issues
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Kubernetes, ABAP Application Server, ABAP, RAP, HANA, OS, BTP
Solid technical understanding of the dependencies in cloud applications
Customer-focused approach to problem-solving
Understanding of the importance of cost optimization
Fluency in both German and English (verbal and written)

Beneficial Skills

A programming background
First experiences with a hyperscaler like AWS,GCP or Azure
