DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

- **Position**: DevOps Engineer
- **Department**: Enterprise Systems Department, Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI)
- **Supervision Level**: Broad supervision
- **Job Type**: 100% remote (East Coast strongly preferred)
- **Citizenship Requirement**: Must be a U.S. Citizen

#### Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand and improve CI/CD processes
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various software projects
- Automate deployment processes for efficient software update delivery
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot build and deployment issues with development teams
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance CI/CD capabilities

#### Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role
- Strong understanding of GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other relevant tools and technologies
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus
