Job Description:
·       AWS Application Support – Troubleshooting experience supporting applications hosted in AWS on EKS and EC2. Have experience with an AWS hybrid ecosystem.
·       Java Application Support – Advanced Java application troubleshooting including thread and heap analysis. Understanding complex multi-application environments, which interact in a firewalled environment. 
·       Application Architecture – Collaborate with the development teams to understand an advanced microservices based ecosystem, be able to mentor and teach the technology to others on the team.
·       Splunk – Splunk log analysis for application troubleshooting. Must be able to develop ad-hoc queries on the fly to pinpoint application issues. Needs to be able to articulate search parameters and commands.
·       Datadog, AppDynamics – Usage of Datadog or AppDynamics (or equivalent application performance monitoring (APM) tool, such as DynaTrace or New Relic) to troubleshoot and monitor application health and performance. This would include investigation of business transactions, information points, and health rules to pinpoint application problems.
·       Database Knowledge – Comprehensive understanding of application to database interactions, this would include Oracle, Mongo, and AWS databases.
·       Automation – Experience creating and maintaining automated pipelines with tools like Terraform and CloudBees (Jenkins).
·       Linux knowledge – Supporting applications running in a Linux environment. Shell scripting for automation of administration tasks. Understanding of OS setting for app performance optimization, administration of Microservices, troubleshooting logging/forwarding issues.
·       Documentation – Ability to author highly technical documentation and diagrams, using a variety of tools.
Soft Skills
·       Communication Skills – Excellent communication skills needed, the ability to write technical documentation in English.
o   Presentation Skills – Ability to speak clearly, confidently, and concisely in front of others both remotely and in person. Comfortable giving presentations to technical and non-technical colleagues, experienced in giving presentation to members of the leadership team.
o   Investigative Interviewing – Ability elicit necessary information from our development partners needed to arm our incident management team
