DevOps/Platform Engineer

Introduction: Join our client’s team as a DevOps/Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in our ongoing technological transformation. You will be working within a dynamic team, guiding development groups as they create and automate cloud infrastructure. This role involves building and maintaining a central platform and developing solutions that benefit our R&D teams across multiple cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Responsibilities:
Harden software solutions by guiding the development teams through the creation and automation of cloud infrastructure.
Build, maintain, and improve our central platform to support R&D teams.
Implement best practices in software development and infrastructure management.
Develop scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
Write automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and orchestration of cloud resources.
Utilize a diverse mix of tools and services across multiple cloud platforms to enhance functionality and performance.
Contribute to internal developer portals and platforms to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab, or Argo CD.
Ensure system security through adherence to best practices in cloud environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Practical experience with Site Reliability Engineering and Kubernetes, including Kubernetes Operators.
2. Expertise in containerization across different platforms, operating systems, and CPU types.
3. Familiarity with Cloud Native tools and their application across various cloud providers.
3. Proficient in at least one programming language such as Javascript, Java, or Python.
4. Internal Developer Portals and Platforms
5. Understanding of feature flags, Blue/Green, Canary, and Ring release strategies and tools.
6. Experience with monitoring, observability, and MTTR management.
Knowledge of cloud provider services and capabilities, and experience managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
