Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the strategy and planning for onboarding hashtag#AWS applications to hashtag#VMware.
- Oversee data, code development, testing, networking, and hashtag#DevOps activities for hashtag#VMware onboarding.
- Test new shared infrastructure services for failover environments: hashtag#Kafka hashtag#Redis hashtag#Cloudian hashtag#Flink hashtag#PostgreSQL.
- Ensure connectivity between failover and existing services: hashtag#LDAP hashtag#DNS hashtag#Artifactory hashtag#Jenkins hashtag#Splunk.
- Deploy the risk application using the new deployment pipeline on RTOP.
- Lead code changes to ensure compatibility with VMware.
- Develop and execute functional and integration testing strategies.
- Collaborate on failover and operational testing for risk applications.
- Solve technical challenges in adopting applications to VMware: code, test, debug, and document solutions.
- Continuously improve processes and the DevOps team.

- 6-7 years in cloud/on-premise application modernization: hashtag#Virtualization hashtag#DevOps hashtag#Terraform hashtag#DataPipes.
- 5-6 years building Java streaming applications: hashtag#Flink hashtag#Kafka hashtag#JavaMicroservices hashtag#Redis hashtag#EnterpriseDatabases.
- Understanding of data replication, failover, and DR strategies.
- Experience with functional, integration, non-functional, and operational testing.
- 6-7 years with Maven/Gradle and event-driven architecture: hashtag#Kafka.
- Knowledge of distributed message brokers and data streaming pipes: hashtag#Kafka hashtag#Flink.
- Understanding QA strategy and implementation.
- Experience with Kafka data replication: hashtag#AWS hashtag#OnPrem.
- Expertise in continuous deployment and automation: hashtag#Terraform hashtag#Ansible hashtag#Helm hashtag#Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools: hashtag#Splunk hashtag#LogicMonitor hashtag#SignalFX hashtag#Prometheus.
- Experience with microservices and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure: hashtag#VMwareESXi hashtag#VMwareCloud hashtag#AWS hashtag#DevOps.
