What You’ll Contribute

You have an opportunity to build a world-class DevOps engineering team to empower our product and engineering organization to innovate at the speed of business. You are responsible for attracting, growing, and sustaining the best DevOps engineering talents globally.
You will bring to the team a proven track record of building an engineering organization through building strong relationship with DevOps enablement team, Change Management team, Product and Engineering, Global Technology Services, Cyber-security, education, and professional services organizations.
You will create a strategy with a coherent plan, apply modern and resilient DevOps pattern, implement, and continuously improve an end2end DevOps engineering system.
You will be responsible for defining, communicating, enabling, and institutionalizing the best DevOps practices to the product engineering teams through an enterprise-wise engineering system.
You need to use data to inform decision making. Analyze data for trends and potential pain points and use this to prioritize and inform how to improve your engineering product.
You will work with the product architecture lead, security lead and global technology services lead to define and adopt the best DevOps tools to enable both FICO pipeline and Platform pipeline.
You will manage communication with various stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment.
You will facilitate and moderate tough discussions to keep programs on track and raise issues when needed.
You will develop reports/dashboards and communicate on a regular cadence to relevant stakeholders to keep everyone informed.
You need to think strategically about how to solve root problems in a scalable and repeatable way to help improve FICO’s product engineering globally.
You need to gather feedback from key stakeholders and provide recommendations on the best way to advance your objectives.
You need to act as an agent for change within the organization to build strong teams and advance FICO’s platform first agenda.

What We’re Seeking

An experienced people manager and visionary leader who is passionate about developing leaders and growing others within DevOps Infrastructure.

Ideal candidate leads by example to embrace DevOps culture and mindset including culture of psychological safety, empowerment, experimentation, collaboration, co-create, continuous improvement, disagree and commit, and outcome over output.
Real-life DevOps transformation experience with end2end visibility of product development lifecycle. 
Ideal candidate has working experience in Lean Product management, OKR (Objective and Key Results), Agile development, shift-left testing, shift-left security, Infra-as-code, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), DevOps measurement such as DORA KPIs, PaaS/SaaS, DevOps architecture and value stream.
Must-be a highly technical and hands-on DevOps practitioner who can lead the engineering team with confidence and competency.
Experience working asynchronously in a remote, distributed team. Experience leading global teams.
Strong communication skills, with clear verbal communication as well as written communication skills.
Experience developing a strategy for the DevOps Infrastructure Engineering teams. The strategy should include a diagnosis that defines or explains the nature of the challenge, a guiding policy for dealing with the challenge, and a set of coherent actions that are designed to carry out the guiding policy.
Collaborative style: partners well with cross-functional teams solve hard problems and to complete complex deliverables with quality and business outcome.
Ability to work across organizations with Product management, Product Engineering, Cyber Security, UX, Global Technology Services, Legal, education and professional services.
Strong on influencing and relationship building while exceptional in conflict management skills.
Proficient knowledge and experience delivering presentations to a large number of stakeholders and executives. 
Solid experience in software development, engineering, product management or program management, or equivalent experience with a proven ability to enable product and engineering organization.
Solid years of people manager experience leading and developing teams.
Feature management and Ring deployment experience is highly preferred.
GitHub, gitOps, InnerSoruce, AWS, Open-Source working experience is highly preferred.
Analytics and financial industry background is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in highly related field; Advanced degree a plus.

The targeted base pay range for this role is: $130,000 to $204,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
