Job Description:

Legacy System Conversion: Support the conversion of legacy .NET applications to the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within Power Apps, Power Pages, and portals.

Legacy Application Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for current legacy applications in the .NET environment, addressing any issues and implementing necessary updates.

API Integration: Develop and implement integration solutions with external applications through APIs and other connection methods, ensuring efficient and secure data exchange.

Data Model Design: Collaborate with DBAs to design robust data models and optimize queries for enhanced performance and data integrity within both legacy and new systems.

SDLC Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to work effectively within both waterfall and agile project management methodologies, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget.

Development Standards: Adhere to established development standards, suggesting improvements as needed to enhance the quality and efficiency of the development process.

Programming languages, Coding Knowledge, Detail Oriented, Agile, Application Development, CSS, APIS, .net, VB, Analysis Skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in setting up IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and configuring it to develop in multiple languages. 
  • Hand-on experience in writing unit and feature tests, MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Portals), vb.net, Java / J2EE programming, APIs, running SQL queries, etc... 
  • Knowledge of best practices for systems deployment, testing, administration, operation, and disaster recovery. Proactive and self-directed management and organizational skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication. 
  • Other technical certifications and/or training a plus (eg. Operating Systems, Databases, Application Servers, Programming Languages, Network Protocols).
