Description

Job Description & Skill Requirement:
1.    Assist with items such as the assembly of electrical cabinets, termination of wires, routing cables, and installing components (sensors, etc.) within a work cell. 
2.    Ability to read and follow electrical schematics. The candidate should be able to follow callouts on electrical schematics. 
3.    Performance of basic mechanical assembly of components and assemblies. Assist in the assembly and installation of mechanical components such as mounting plates, brackets, work cell subassemblies, robotic end-of-arm tooling, and machine guarding. 
4.    Read and follow basic mechanical drawings in the execution of equipment build and assembly. Candidates would be able to read basic mechanical part drawings as well as mechanical assembly drawings.
5.    Works closely with internal cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and outside vendors to achieve desired results.
6.    Work as part of a functional team under the direction of the assigned project manager in the timely execution of projects. Includes providing status updates for assigned tasks and activities.
7.    Develop and refine skills related to robotics, controls, safety systems to support both project execution and training of operational staff.
8.    Travel will be necessary.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

 

4-year degree in electrical engineering technology or related degree preferred. Solid experience in hands-on engineering and fabrication. Possessing the ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits. Ability to edit or program electrical devices requiring proprietary software such as PLC’s, HMI’s, robots, safety controllers, etc.... Possessing skills to operate machining equipment such as a drill press, lathe, Bridgeport machine. Possessing welding skills (MIG and/or TIG). Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and 3D CAD platforms.
