Job Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Coordinate and oversee electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budget.

Electrical System Design:

Review and assess electrical systems, covering power distribution, lighting, control systems, and communication systems. Conduct load calculations, create electrical drawings, and select appropriate equipment and materials.

Technical Support:

Provide support to project teams by troubleshooting, conducting site visits, and resolving electrical issues during the project lifecycle.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Stay updated on electrical codes and safety guidelines to ensure installations are safe and compliant.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, test reports, and progress reports. Maintain accurate records of project-related activities.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Address concerns, provide timely updates, and maintain positive working relationships.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Assist in preparing cost estimates for electrical projects, monitoring project budgets, and managing costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure electrical work meets required standards. Identify and address any quality issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering and construction practices. Seek opportunities to improve processes, implement innovative solutions, and enhance project performance.

Objectives:

Ensure timely completion of electrical projects within budget and in compliance with safety standards.

Liaise with consultants and contractors to meet project needs and expectations.

Produce detailed designs and specifications for electrical systems when required.

Oversee on-site installation of electrical systems, providing support during construction.

Commission and test electrical systems before client handover.

Provide ongoing maintenance and support for operational electrical systems.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Relevant license and certification may be advantageous).

7-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a preference for candidates experienced in setting up Industrial Plant Facilities.

Project management experience is preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations for electrical works.
