Role: Embedded Engineer
Location: Mounds View, MN (Onsite)
You will:
- Implement and oversee strategies and solutions for embedded software test engineering team within the SW Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.
- Develop test automation solutions and techniques using C++ and Python to enable optimal test coverage.
- Lead continuous improvement to drive efficiency and maintainable test solutions and establish community of practice by collaborating with other leaders.
- Using software test engineering techniques to maximize test coverage across both automation and manual testing.
- Well versed in different test development methodologies including Agile to enables breaking barriers across the organization.
- Understand the technical behaviour of the system, architecture, and software requirements with an aptitude to identify product defects in all phases of development.
- Support and lead planning and coordination of Software release activities with respect to Software Verification activities as required.
- Collaborate with technical engineering teams to influence software design to improve testing, and mentor junior test engineers.
- Develop and deliver all Software Verification deliverables for your project to support regulatory submission.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline, preferably software related (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of software verification experience in a regulated industry.
- Implemented test automation solutions on complex electromechanical devices.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python to support Software Component testing.
- Understand design controls process and ability to navigate Quality and Regulatory guidance such as IEC-62304 and FDA medical product development with respect to Software verification.
Nice to have:
- Understand comprehensive testing techniques, top-down test planning and strategies.
- Lead and implement automation framework, test tool and automation scripts, developing mocks.
- Thorough understanding of creating test protocols for verifying software requirements.
- Experience using a tool or repository for managing test cases (Bitbucket, JIRA, JAMA, etc)
