Job Description:

  • Position’s Contributions to Work Group: Perform Software HIL bench tests using OPAL-RT. Support Lithium-Ion battery system performance and validation lab tests for a software release.
  • Support Lithium-Ion battery system testing, checking data quality, test result integrity, and repeatability. Data analysis across multiple Conformance, Performance and Validation test protocols.
  • Write requirements, procedures, and reports and formally present on test outcomes.
  • Communicate technical information to internal and external customers, team members, and suppliers.

 

Typical Day:

  • Focused on battery management systems. Be present in the lab and office. Work with other control engineers in the group to understand test and simulation requirements. Will set up and conduct tests/simulations and present results to the group.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
  • Master's degree in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical engineering preferred.

 

Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Plant model creation/calibration, HIL/SIL testing, OPAL-RT bench set up, Battery Management System software development, and performance validation

 

Soft Skills:

  • Highly organized engineering documentation - test plans, procedures, and test reports.
  • Significant team collaboration, Ability to perform testing on HIL benches, test cells, machines, etc
