Why is this position open?

Work increasing – Regulation changes

Dept of energy and EPA stds need to change tech need to implement (first in CA then follows suits)

Testing will be mostly automated and some manual (less than 10% of time will be actually testing)

Overview of the Product/Technology and what are you trying to accomplish?

70% technical

30% project management

Top Skills: 10-15 years of direct experience- If you have someone with less direct experience please still show them to me.

  • Embedded SW C/C++
  • Embedded HW
  • Simulations- Labview/Matlab
  • Infrastructure
  • Project management – Work and work with different teams (local, Mexico, India) and collect right information.
    • Provide team with technical expertise- solve problems with the team
  • Computer Science degree, EE degree, or similar

 

Plus:

He goes by what is written on resume and digs deeper to see what he has really done- how much they have done in that project.

Example questions he may ask then will dig in on that-

  • Responsible for resources in PM
  • Responsible for reports in PM?
  • Written diff things in C++, have you ever written in it?
  • Person has to be able to speak on his/her experience that is on his resume.

Additional Information:

Had some interviews but lacking- when hear “test” not usual test company. This requires not only if code is written accurately but needs experience with electronics, Linux platform, simulate using LabVIEW/Matlab.
