Designation: Engineering Manager

Experience in Years: 6-8 years of total work experience with 3-5 years in relevant engineering management roles

Responsibilities
 

• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups for successful team execution.
• Own production issues, coordinate bug fixes, and implement preventive measures for enhanced product reliability.
• Champion high-quality SaaS products by overseeing testing, QA, and adherence to industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance around solution design and best practices.
• Provide effective leadership, mentorship, and coaching, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders for a holistic approach to development and delivery.
• Conduct regular reviews, identify areas for growth, and support team member development and clearly define roles and responsibilities for each team member.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-up, retrospective) if needed.
   

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages. Hand-ons knowledge of Python is necessary
• Must have 3-5 years experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Experience working on Google Cloud Platforms
• Deployment experience on services like GCP CloudRun, App Engine (desirable).
• Multi-team, cross-geographical product delivery experience preferred.
• Proven success in program/project management for large, complex, global technical initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in Technical Program Management and Release Management for large-scale software development.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong business acumen, critical thinking, and ability to work cross functionally through collaboration with engineering and business partners
