The Enterprise Solution Architect for Commercial / Sales Capabilities is a critical role within S&A (Strategy and Architecture) group of General Mill’s D&T (Digital and Technology) organization who interfaces across business and technology stakeholders. The Enterprise Solution Architect will understand business needs, assess the current state and design the target state solution that meets business needs while driving clarity, enabling enterprise agility, and mitigating risk

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Provide leadership and accountability for technology decisions across all segments/business units.
  • Accountable for defining interfaces and patterns for integration with platforms.
  • Ensure technical components of our top initiatives are on track.
  • Guide distributed platform solution design to enable Commercial 3OP and Enabling Technical Strategy and project/solution portfolio.
  • Visibility into all projects impacting the Commercial / Sales domain and platforms.
  • Contribute to Tech catalog, Tech Selection and Tech Intake process.
  • Provide inputs to RFI/RFP - technical criteria, weightage, evaluating vendors.
  • Match solutions with the requirements of stakeholders and enterprise principles, policies, and standards.
  • Ensure solution compliance with non-functional requirements (Security, Platform, Integration, Data, Operations, etc.)
  • Consult, advise, provide SME expertise to project teams (tech leads, developers, and other architects).
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise and Solution Architects to create Technology Reference Models, Reference Architecture; conduct market scans, Architecture PoV (Point of View) based on industry research and implement PoC (Proof of concepts) solutions.
  • Create, update, and communicate the enterprise domain architecture strategy to other architects, tech leads and provide guidance in implementing the solution architecture.

     

Must - Have Technical Skills And Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred.
  • 12+ years of IT experience from Technology domain
  • 5+ years of leading complex IT projects through solutioning, designing, and architecture.
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise solutions to the public cloud and/or SaaS.
  • Experience with Salesforce Platform – Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
  • Experience with Sales and Trade systems like promotions, planning, optimization, funding, payments, reconciliation, planograms, volume estimating, and retail execution
  • Knowledge of Salesforce administration, by changing setting, and making configuration changes.
  • Experience with how to view and manipulate data in Salesforce by using queries, APIs, and tools.
  • Experience with reporting systems like Tableau or Looker.
  • Broad understanding of integration concepts and experience with MuleSoft or similar integration technologies.
  • Broad understanding of Cloud Computing concepts, processes & tools required for cloud adoption including cloud security, governance, integration, and performance.
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional and global teams.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new capabilities and partner with other teams to adopt as appropriate for General Mills.
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes and strategies.
  • Comfort with informing, influencing, and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience with vetting packaged solutions against business/technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in architecture diagramming tools (LucidChart, Visio, etc.).
