Environment Engineer

Organized, Submit Requests, Organized, OCP and IIS background, PING, Networking, F5, SSO, Authentication, Development, Troubleshooting, Logging

Responsibilities:

10+ years experience required

1.            Design, build, and maintain development, testing, and production environments for software applications or systems.

2.            Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to understand their environment requirements.

3.            Set up and configure hardware, software, and network components for environments.

4.            Automate environment provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

5.            Monitor and troubleshoot environment issues, including performance bottlenecks, configuration errors, and connectivity problems.

6.            Implement and manage environment security controls, including access management and vulnerability scanning.

7.            Maintain environment documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

8.            Collaborate with release management teams to ensure smooth promotion of code between environments.

9.            Continuously optimize and improve environment setups and processes.

10.         Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in environment management.

Qualifications:

1.            Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

2.            Proven experience in environment engineering, infrastructure management, or related roles.

3.            Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and virtualization technologies.

4.            Proficiency in scripting and automation languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

5.            Experience with OCP, IIS background, PING, Networking, F5, SSO, Authentication and Logging.

6.            Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

7.            Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

8.            Understanding of security principles and best practices for securing environments.

9.            Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

10.         Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
