Position Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Business Analyst with a financial background to work with a cross functional team on an ERP Software Solution. The Business Analyst works closely with the product team to develop and translate a vision for the product and is responsible for communicating that vision to the scrum team.

The Business Analyst will work with executive management, Agency Product Owners and partners, and the development teams to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release.

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for helping to create the roadmap and oversee the execution of the roadmap. This includes defining requirements, writing user stories, prioritizing initiatives, and driving scalability and other investments for the product.

Specific Duties:

• Design and document all business requirements including but not limited to internal and external processes and workflow diagrams
• Configuring functions and workflow to facilitate ERP integration with other applications
• Defining requirements, scope and objectives related to overall business strategies
• Document security requirements for all users
• Translating business requirements into ERP solutions
• Collaborating with the IT team, business management, external consultants, end users and other stakeholders
• Identify and resolve gaps between business processes and the ERP application.
• Creating user guides, training curriculum, policies, and other pertinent documentation for internal and external partners
• Research, troubleshoot and mitigate transactional and other ERP issues

Qualifications:

• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to create user guides, training curriculum, etc. that is understandable, easy to follow, and not overly technical
• Professional demeanor – represents the project to stakeholders in a friendly, unbiased, and professional manner
• 5 to 7 years' experience in business analysis roles on ERP systems, such as gathering user requirements and translating business requirements into technical requirements
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendor and various State staff
• Ability to work within a demanding project environment
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role
• Expertise in communicating progress at each phase of development as appropriate, including published roadmaps, requirements, and other information
• Strong results-orientated combined with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; track record of product success
• Demonstration of outstanding communication skills internally and externally, across teams and functions along with strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills.

The successful candidate should have the following knowledge and experience for this position:

• Knowledge in basic accounting is desired
