ERP Business Analyst

Duration: 12+ month contract

Notes: Primary preference for role is local to Chicago or Beloit as they would need to go to the office every 6 weeks or so. The manager has agreed to make time on his calendar to set up interviews on Mon, 4/18 through Wed, 4/20.

Previous candidates fell short in personality and communication
The manager is looking for someone who is high energy, engaging and has a presence that can command a room in a professional manner
Needs someone who will really take ownership of their responsibilities/deliverables and not pass on tasks or sit and wait for something else to be done before they move forward
Location preference is local (someone within time zone is preferred)
Required experience as a BA analyzing processes and requirements in the context of an ERP system
Strong facilitation skills required to lead workshops with Business and keep them on track
This person should have a personality/character that can be accepted by a large group of people
Experience on larger projects to report versus individual is preferred
Excellent oral and written skills
Proven experience with ownership and accountability
Industry experience in full sale distribution or manufacturing is preferred but not required
Requirements:

Strong ERP project experience and knowledge
Strong knowledge and experience in at least one of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, or Inventory
Ability to lead meetings, including preparation, agenda, execution, notes, follow-up
Ability to gather and document business, functional or data conversion requirements
Experience creating process flow diagrams using Visio
Experience supporting development of test cases and training material
3-7 years of experience as a BA
Excellent oral and written skills
Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools

Fortune 500-1000 companies
Distribution industry experience
Day to Day:

Work with Business Leads to define business problems
Work with Business Leads and SME’s to document business rules, business requirements, process flows, user stories and other project artifacts
Identify system gaps
Assist QA team with development of test scenarios and expected results
Assist with the development and validation of training materials
Prepare and help deliver business process workshops and design sessions
Complete activities and deliverables per project plan
Help track completion of system gaps
Recommend solutions to the business in the capacity of a trusted advisor
Understand dependencies with other systems
