DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

The Employees Retirement System of Texas requests the services of one (1) Project Lead 3 personnel, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualifications of a Project Lead 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas.

General Description:

Performs advanced strategic and project management work for ERS’ Retirement Insurance System Enhancement (RISE) project. This position will work with the ERS Program Manager and the Worker will lead, as the Project Manager, the data cleansing, data quality and data conversion efforts from the ERS’ databases to the selected RISE vendor’s application.

The Worker will have extensive knowledge of state agency pension and benefits systems for retirement systems. The data work will be an Agile project and the Worker will maintain the project artifacts and ensure release management in accordance to ERS practices and methods. Worker will provide regularly scheduled progress reports and may provide presentations on the progress of the data efforts to sponsors, steering committees or ERS Board of Trustees. Additionally, the Worker will ensure the completeness all data deliverables and ensure their timely delivery to the ERS selected vendor. The Worker will provide feedback on any data issues and assist the ERS Program Manager during these activities.

NOTE: an experienced Data Project Manager with at least 15 years of Experience with pension and benefits administration systems working in an Agile environment to complete data migrations and conversions.

10Experience in data quality, data management and data reconciliation.
10Experience reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating data related project deliverables and quality; ability to communicate project status and explain project methodology and processes to project stakeholders; ability to identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
10Extensive verbal and written communication skills
10Skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy.
3Experience in project management delivery.

 

TERM OF SERVICE6 months / 1,000 hours

WORK HOURS: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
