As the Software Engineer Senior – ETL Administrator, you will be responsible is a for providing hands on administration, support, installation, configuration and tuning of ETL applications. You will serve as the technical expert and provide support when it comes to application setup, issues, and functionality. Must be able to coordinate with developers and application vendors on technical issues, upgrades, new functionality, and licensing. In addition, will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, well performing, cohesive and integrated Informatica/ETL Application infrastructures. This role requires responsiveness, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively. This position requires advanced knowledge of ETL/Informatica development processes.

Provide strategic recommendations to IT Management and Data Team for Data integration tools and Informatica roadmap including tool specific features and options, expected to explore all aspects.
Partner with the Data Services Manager and other team members to make decisions on Informatica Architecture, addition of other tools and technologies to solve on premise and cloud data integration needs.
Responsible for keeping up with tool specific features, options and acquire deep understanding. Install, upgrade, configure and maintain Informatica components and other tools used by ETL team.
Recommend and implement automation of different administration tasks to enhance efficiencies.
Coordinate with Informatica and Vendor support for patches and bug fixes.
Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure an effective operating environment.
This includes throughput analysis, capacity planning, on-going optimization and tuning of Informatica objects and environment.
Understand complex Informatica maps, workflow and session logs, and participate in configuration and tuning of respective objects to meet the performance and recovery objectives.
Perform disaster recovery functions.
Proficient in working with LDAP configuration and user management.
Coordinate with development and infrastructure groups to prepare and implement planned maintenance outages.
Communicate effectively with management and provide timely communication on issues, business impact, mitigation and resolution plans, statuses, and escalation procedures.
Work with offsite and onsite team members.
Participate in off-hours support activities as needed.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
 

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
 

Required Experience

At least seven years of experience in assessing and cultivating long-term strategic goals for Data Warehouse and other enterprise development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Experience in guiding ETL team with design guidelines, standards and procedures to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure across the enterprise.
Experience maintaining the ETL metadata repository in a multi-user environment.
 

Preferred Experience

Experience working in healthcare.
Experience working with RightData, IRIS for Health and any Data Governance applications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
