Field Test & Commissioning Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Knowledgeable on Signaling systems: Signaling principles, Troubleshooting, Software installation, Log retrieval
- Knowledgeable on Computer and Network systems: Windows, WireShark, SSH, telnet.
- Experience in working on field environments, train control rooms or bungalows, wayside tracks.
- Experience in executing tests on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, microprocessors (VPI, Microlok and/or Electrologix)
- Must be on-site to execute work, which requires travelling to multiple MBTA sites in Boston, MA, mainly focused at Wellington Yard, located at the Orange Line.
- Must maintain highest regard for safety, fail safeness, system reliability and system integrity.

Responsibilities:

- Execute test activities under the direction of Client Test engineers and manager.
- Fill out test documentation, such as: test data sheets, discrepancy lists, daily reports, progress reports (KPIs)
- Deliver on time and with quality per client agreed schedule and deliverables
- Provide Daily activity progress for work performed in the field.
- Provide Weekly project progress
- Workload of 40hrs per week is expected
