• Core responsibilities will be to work on internal data systems and accounting development tools as well as utilize finance accounting systems knowledge to assist in automated controls creation and data validation work.
• This role will have the knowledge and skills to turn data into information and insight for the finance and accounting organization.
• They will seek out develop and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity within theaccounting close process.
• This person will assist on performing month-end tasks / duties the FDM team has consolidated or automated for our business partners.
• They will find the root causes of business challenges identify opportunities for consistency and automation and make recommendations on how to achieve finance accounting goals.
• This role will work with critical partners to understand business requirements from multiple teams and interface with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and executed upon for our various migration initiatives
• Build our accounting and finance platform within existing platforms but have the ability to come up with a strategy where requirements conflict with enterprise solutions.
• Develop our cloud container / environments dedicated to Optum Health Accounting - Azure to start GCP AWS if required for cost control purposes using Terraform.
• Spin up on-prem servers to increase our flexibility and reduce dependence on on-prem enterprise solutions like ECG Fin360 if needed.
• Build out a dedicated Microsoft Fabric/Databricks/Azure Synapse/Azure Data Factory environment in a scalable way - Any service in the Azure suite.
• Set up Source Control / Continuous Integration.
• Set up scheduling infrastructure Apache Airflow.
• Optional - Migrate existing on-prem solutions like Revenue Manager to cloud if desired.

Required Skills

• Azure The cloud platform we are targeting.
• Terraform Is a coding language to spin up infrastructure and required by the Enterprise in Public Cloud Placement.
• GitHub Essential source control skills to enable team collaboration and development.
• Scripting e.g. Python C# Scala Java prefer Python.

Preferred:

• Docker/Kubernetes Build and deploy applications across tenants and environments.
• Apache airflow
