FPA Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Pl (FPA) Analyst to join our AI Engineering Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and analyzing financial data related to discretionary spending, purchase orders, contingent workers, and capital expenditures (CapEx) within the engineering department. This position requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and the ability to provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making in a technical and operational environment.

Qualifications
 

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in FP&A, with a focus on supporting engineering or technical operations

Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis, particularly within an engineering context

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and technical teams

Key Responsibilities
 

Conduct in-depth financial analysis and reporting focused on the engineering department s discretionary spending, purchase orders, contingent labor, and CapEx

Develop and maintain complex financial models tailored to the unique needs of engineering operations

Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts specific to engineering projects
