Full Stack Developer

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems for both web and mobile
• Perform software development on full-stack applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
• Collaborate with digital product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teammates, as well as with non-technical partners and stakeholders.
• Utilize programming languages including TypeScript (Node, React, React Native), RESTful web services, relational and nonrelational databases, CICD pipelines (Jenkins), and cloud-based services (AWS/GCP).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud).

Preferred:

• Master’s Degree.
• 7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.
• 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• Prior Capital One experience is a plus.
• Top Skills: 50% on Frontend - Typescript, React/React Native, , RESTful APIs.
• 50% on Backend - NodeJS, AWS (Serverless Services) - Kubernetes, ECS/ECS - Fargate. CI/CD - Jenkins.
• Nice to have: Mobile Development with Kotlin, SWIFT, GCP Cloud.
