Roles and responsibilities:

• Proficient in WordPress development, with demonstrable experience in creating custom themes and plugins.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Extensive experience with PHP and MySQL for back-end development within the WordPress environment.
• Expertise in responsive web design and familiarity with mobile-first development principles.
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, security best practices, and optimization techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress, themes, and plugins efficiently.
• Experience in integrating third-party APIs and web services into WordPress websites.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborative development.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices for WordPress websites.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements :

• Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Extensive experience with design and development of responsive web applications using Angular and popular front-end tools.
• Knowledge of mid-tier frameworks like Spring boot, Java applications
• Experience in designing and developing scalable microservices and database services.
• Experience with relational and MySQL database technologies
• Experience implementing API integration best practices.
• Experience in UX design and implementing WordPress Learning Management System plugins.
• Experience working in agile frameworks like scrum for development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.
• Experience working in a test-driven development environment.
• Expertise to influence testing strategy and guide test automation.
• Perform peer review and ensure quality at every stage of the product development lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship and perform knowledge transfer to other peer developers.
• Recommend and implement changes to reference architecture, development frameworks and design patterns.
• Promotes industry standards and best practices with the product teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
