Role: Functional Tester
Job Location: Hyderabad/Pune

Job Responsibilities:
 

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
   
• Use API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar to perform functional and integration tests.
   
• Verify API responses, ensure proper data handling, and validate error codes and messages.
   
• Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on functional specifications and requirements.
   
• Perform thorough functional, regression, and integration testing.
   
• Document and track defects, and work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues.
   
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
   
• Support the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
   
• Help enhance the automation framework and expand test coverage as needed.
   
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective testing solutions.
   
• Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, defect status, and overall quality metrics.
   
• Participate in review meetings to discuss test results and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
 

• 4+ years of experience in functional testing with a strong focus on API testing and automation.
   
• Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
   
• Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.
   
• knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) is preferred.
   
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
   
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
   
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
