GCP Cloud Automation Engineer
Qualification / Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Analysis, or a relevant field
• 6+ years of relevant experience
4 years in GCP
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster the culture of automation, developer self-service and building highly available platforms and systems
• Participate in the design of service automation in cloud towards Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform scripting) and PaaC (Policy-as-code)
• Strong knowledge in setting up Infra using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Docker
• Should have strong knowledge on Jenkins (including multibranch pipeline)
• Build the vital testing automation for testing the infrastructure being built/configured
• Experience with Python or Shell for scripting, and Git or similar version control systems
• Solid understanding of automation tools like Ansible etc.,
• Containerization – experience with docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
• Operational experience at scale and have deep knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix) and networking
• Knowledge of best practices and operations in an always-up always available environment
• Well verse in Tooling & Dashboarding
• Central to obtaining and processing requirements to transform application delivery for cloud in an agile fashion
• Develop framework for automating Day 0,1,2 infrastructure operations across hybrid cloud
• Strong knowledge in orchestration in cloud using Infrastructure-as-code while providing self-service capabilities to IT teams
• Experience with GCP Public Cloud automation.,
• Active driver for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery applications
• Experience working with Rest APIs to integrate Infrastructure components and create automation pipelines using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Atlantis, packer, Ansible etc.,
• Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
• Establish implementation standards and methods such as configuration and change management for cloud deployments.
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Ensure security is integrated into all cloud services.
• Involve and drive evolution towards DevSecOps and Agile Transformation
• Resolve and act as escalation and coordination point for incidents and problems related to affected automation
