Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled GCP data engineer with expertise in AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and GCP services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering and a passion for developing robust and scalable data solutions. As a GCP Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' database systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage database solutions using AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and various GCP services.
Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and performance tuning to support high-volume data processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide database solutions that meet business needs.
Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of database systems by implementing best practices for data management.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database engineering and cloud services, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
I have proven experience as a database engineer with expertise in AlloyDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and GCP services.
Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, partitioning, and optimization techniques.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and database performance tuning.
Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data integration across different platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP),.
Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
