While this job is primarily remote, candidates are required to be on-site for onboarding during the first day. Candidates must reside within Virginia or a neighboring state and be able and willing to travel to Richmond VA on short notice. This position may require candidate to come onsite for emergencies or during high volume periods, such as elections.

Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking a GIS Analyst. We are looking for people who are ready to support ELECT geospatial initiatives, systems and data processes to ensure accuracy, integrity, security and efficiency as it pertains to elections.  You will assist in the development of policies, standards and procedures relating to GIS support administration, performance, security and auditing.  If you possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure system availability, integrations, and timely completion of tasks to support the elections process, this might be the job for you.
