Key Responsibilities:

Data Processing and Analysis: Process and analyze geospatial data to support various projects within the electric, gas, or telecommunications sectors.
Trend Identification: Identify trends and patterns in large datasets to provide actionable insights.
Quality Control: Ensure data quality through rigorous QC/QA processes.
Database Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive databases.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
Technical Support: Offer technical support and training to end-users to maximize the utility of geospatial data.
Data Transformation: Perform data transformation tasks to integrate and harmonize data from multiple sources.
Project Planning and Management: Participate in project planning and management, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and managing project timelines.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years experience as a GIS Analyst in the electric, gas, or telecommunications industries.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, GE Smallworld, QGIS, FME), database management systems, and data analysis tools.
Remote Sensing: Experience with remote sensing technologies and advanced spatial analysis techniques is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: GIS certification (e.g., GISP) or advanced degree preferred.
Advanced Skills: Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and advanced data visualization tools.
