GIS Developer/Analyst

Description

The Judge Group has a new opportunity for a GIS Developer/Analyst. This will be for a 12+ month long contract and will be fully onsite in Norwood, MA.

Tasks may include obtaining, processing, and analyzing vector and raster datasets, geo-referencing maps and aerial photographs, digitizing, preparing input data for various natural hazard models, or post-processing model output to create hazard maps.

MUST HAVE Experience In

 

• Managing ArcGIS Server and SQL Server and creating data tables in SQL server, as either an admin or a user
• Work performed within ArcGIS Online and/ or ArcGIS Web App Builder and the basic functionality of the ArcGIS Online system and how it interacts with ArcGIS Server data.
• Need to be well versed in Python scripting and the commands used in Python for overwriting past/previous data with a script.
• Experience with Open Source GIS and QGIS tools
• Qualifications: At least Bachelor's degree in GIS, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with raster datasets, how they are used and performed for slope analysis, land analysis, etc.
  
   

Nice To Have(s)

 

• Natural Hazards Research (highly preferred)
• Experience in ArcMapas Hydrology toolbox or ArcHydro, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and other programming languages is a plus.
