Work you'll do
Senior Consultants will prepare for, participate in and take notes for client working sessions (requirements gathering, system design reviews, test preparation, etc). Senior Consultants will own follow up actions with client stakeholders and internal project team members/SMEs. Senior Consultants will answer questions on system design for client stakeholders, developers, testers and other project team members - they will act as the interpreters of system design documentation. Senior Consultants are expected to be able to conduct independent research/analysis of client program, policy and procedural documentation to inform system designs. Senior Consultants are expected to have a strong appetite to learn the clients' business from an operations perspective and will be given opportunities to engage directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare documentation for, participate in and document meeting minutes for client working sessions
* Participate in the full SDLC process for their system components, becoming the experts on the design/features of their assigned components a larger system implementation project
* Work with a team and collaborate with others to support your functional lead throughout the SDLC process
* Support development and test teams by clarifying design questions and supporting test preparation and execution as projects move into the build and test phases of the SDLC
* Assist clients in their preparation for accepting new system functionality (UAT/Deployment support)
* Support functional or project track leads by documenting SDLC status, identifying risks/issues and helping leads prepare for project management meetings
* Review, understand and assess impact of policy documentation on system design

Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of relevant industry experience
* 4+ years experience as either a Business Analyst, Tester, PMO Analyst or Management Consultant
* Experience or passion for Health and Human Services
* Travel up to 40%
Preferred:
* Program/policy knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care subsidies, Long Term Supports and Services, Child Support, Child Welfare Housing/Rental Subsidies or Unemployment Assistance
* 3+ years experience working on an Agile SDLC project
* Previous Gov't Consulting experience
