Job: Grants Coordinator (733624)

Location : 2 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46204

Consultants pay rate: $26.92/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)

 

Purpose of Position/Summary:

This position holds a key role in assiting in the management of the holistic lifecycle of Federal grants and

State appropriations. Processes include identification of grant opportunities, securing grant funding,

subrecipient monitoring, and closing out awards.

Job Requirements:

• Preferred Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years experience in business administration, finance, or

related field.

• Must have eight (8) years prior relevant experience to substitute for formal education.

• Knowledge of grants or Federal funding and the grant application process.

• Knowledge of State government structure, administrative procedures and financial processes.

• Ability to interpret and apply financial regulations and procedures.

• Excellent research, writing, and customer service skills.

• Interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a wide variety of contacts.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This position has no direct reports.

Difficulty of Work:
Incumbent must be able to comprehend, analyze, interpret grant guidelines to ISDH programs areas, and correlate programmatic and fiscal policies, reporting requirements and procedures. Incumbent must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibility:
Incumbent receives general instructions and follows established procedures without further supervision other than minimal need for assistance in performance of duties. Work is reviewed on a continuous basis to ensure compliance with established procedures.

Personal Work Relationships:
 Works with a wide range of persons including supervisor, other employees in organization, other agency personnel, contractors, educators, administrators, vendors, buyers and the general public. Physical Effort: This position requires work at a desk computer for the majority of the day.

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office setting. Incumbent must use technology including computers, email, voicemail, and electronic information systems

8 years prior experience in Business Administration, finance or related field (if no Bachelors w/4 yrs. exp. in BA, finance or related field-#5 below)                 Required 8 Years

Prior experience with identifying, applying for and securing funding for grants at a State or Federal level. Required

Prior experience monitoring and closing out grant awards at a State or Federal level.                                                Required

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and other Microsoft products                                             Required

Bachelor's plus 4 years experience in business administration, finance or related field.                                                Highly desired 4 Years
