Summary:
The main function of a Graphic Designer is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A typical graphic designer needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to client demands, work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills.
Job Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
• Associate degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred • 5-7 years' experience required • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability • Basic ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic and film • Basic ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design • Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images • Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team - Ongoing work for the Page Design Product Asset Creation team; Support mostly Azure • Key projects - Ongoing work for the Page Design Product Asset Creation team • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm - • Design new responsive UI patterns and templates • Documenting how theme properties should be leveraged for designed patterns • UI Design of Cloud marketing web pages • Champion and innovate on optimal customer experiences online • Collaborate cross-org on common UX standards.
• Be a liaison between the Design teams in Product and Marketing.
• Manage work committed to in weekly sprints • Become a subject matter expert in our design platforms.
• Responsible for design new patterns for our core design system, creating libraries, and communicating potential solutions to other UX design teams.
• On any given day, you may find yourself conceptualizing, designing, prototyping and testing ideas via Figma while ensuring those designs support user goals and meet the overall business requirements. You're also responsible for generating detailed UX guidelines.
• You'll proactively solicit feedback from others and offer thoughtful critique that helps elevate the work of those around you. Finally, you're skilled at articulating UX design rationale, putting the customer experience first and tying your decisions to project goals and experience strategy.
• You will collaborate in a cross-functional capacity working closely with the Web Marketing team building relationships with other designers, front-end and back-end developers.
Candidate Requirements
• Years of Experience Required -
• 5-7 years of professional UX experience leading creative work, branding, graphic design, marketing and digital • Degrees or certifications required - • Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design or equivalent from an accredited school • Disqualifiers - N/A; Candidates jumping • Best vs. Average - • Candidates with Prior MSFT Experience with the Design Aspects in MWF or withing Azure (HIGHLY PREFERRED) • Accomplished presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal • Demonstrated experience successfully working with a cross-disciplinary design team • Experience in a consulting or agency environment preferred • Expert in customer journey innovation, implementing design systems, use digital UX tools like Figma.
