Job Overview:
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Enterprise Systems Department department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team of innovators in driving advancements in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for software development teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DevOps best practices and experience with GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other related technologies. This individual will play a key role in modernizing our software development processes and infrastructure to achieve greater automation, scalability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collaborate with software development teams to understand current processes and identify areas for CI/CD implementation and improvement
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple software projects
• Automate deployment processes to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software updates
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance and scalability
• Work with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technology advancements to continuously improve our CI/CD capabilities


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role
Strong understanding of GitLab, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other relevant tools and technologies
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams, researchers, and faculty.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) a plus.
