Ob Description
We are looking for a skilled Guidewire Developer to join our team and help enhance and maintain our Guidewire platform. As a Guidewire Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Guidewire applications to support our insurance business processes. You will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Guidewire applications based on business requirements.
Customize Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter modules to meet specific business needs.
Collaborate with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop integrations between Guidewire and other systems using Guidewire Studio, GScript, Java, and web services.
Create and maintain documentation for technical designs, code, and configuration changes.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure code quality and reliability.
Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.
Stay updated with Guidewire best practices, tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to existing processes and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Guidewire Developer or similar role, with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, Guidewire Configuration (Gosu), Guidewire Studio, and web services (SOAP/REST).
Experience with Guidewire integration frameworks and tools, such as Guidewire Messaging, Gosu Scripting, and PCF.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/PLSQL) and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Insurance domain knowledge is a plus.
Certifications such as Guidewire Certified Developer (GCDC) or Guidewire Certified Integration Developer (GCID) would be an advantage.
