Qualification:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hadoop Architect/Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Hadoop architecture and solutions design, with a focus on migration and upgrade projects. This role requires expertise in Cloudera migration to PowerScale, coupled with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and solution implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize Hadoop solutions on PowerScale infrastructure.
- Lead migration projects from Cloudera to PowerScale, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.
- Architect scalable and high-performance solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal teams and clients on Hadoop architecture and solution design.
- Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to optimize Hadoop clusters.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Hadoop Architect or Solution Architect, with a focus on migrations and upgrades.
- Extensive knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark, and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Cloudera migration to PowerScale or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering successful Hadoop solutions in enterprise environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) or Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) Certification is a plus.
