What you'll do: 

Opportunities on the team include developing innovative and complex server designs to meet customer and business needs. These organic designs provide exposure to the latest technologies from Lenovo and its development partners to meet market demands. The role also entails solving unique client challenges through the custom development of solutions and direct engagement with customers. The candidate will become an integral and active member of a development team that is highly motivated to engage, understand and solve the technical challenges of today and shape the server designs of tomorrow.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Graduation from an accredited university within 3 months of the job start date (May 2024 graduates are eligible) with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
       

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in x86 or AMD architecture and hardware design
  • Experience in embedded controllers (ex. PSOC, microcontroller), including schematic design and programming logic
  • Collaborative experience on projects across a global development organization
  • Exposure to EDA schematic design tools for PCB schematic creation and physical design activity
  • Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for a variety of tasks, including customer engagements, defect investigation, and executive updates
  • Interest in x86 or AMD architecture and sub-system design, including CPU/memory/PCIe and RAID/Networking technologies
