HPE Aruba CX Wireless Network Engineer

Job Summary:

The HPE Aruba CX Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade wireless networks based on the HPE Aruba CX Wireless product line. The candidate will work closely with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality wireless solutions that meet the customer's requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement wireless networks based on the HPE Aruba CX Wireless product line, including indoor and outdoor access points (APs) and wireless controllers (WCs).
2. Configure and troubleshoot HPE Aruba CX Wireless APs and WCs, including advanced features such as multi-user multiple input multiple outputs (MU-MIMO), beamforming, and wireless intrusion prevention.
3. Perform wireless site surveys using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet to determine optimal AP placement and configuration and create heat maps to identify coverage gaps and interference.
4. Conduct wireless spectrum analysis using tools such as Metageek Chanalyzer or Wi-Spy to identify and mitigate sources of interference and recommend optimal channel and power settings.
5. Design and configure wireless security features such as 802.1X authentication, guest access, and wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) using the HPE Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager and Aruba WIPS.
6. Configure and troubleshoot wireless network services such as DHCP, DNS, and NTP.
7. Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders on HPE Aruba CX Wireless products and solutions, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex wireless network issues.
8. Create technical documentation and network diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio and Confluence to ensure accurate and complete documentation of wireless solutions.
9. Participate in customer meetings and project reviews to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
10. Keep up-to-date with the latest wireless technologies and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of wireless network designs and implementations.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade wireless networks, preferably using HPE Aruba CX Wireless products.
3. Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols and standards, including Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), 802.11ac Wave 2, and 802.11n.
4. Experience with wireless site surveys, spectrum analysis, and RF optimization using tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, Metageek Chanalyzer, or Wi-Spy.
5. Strong understanding of network security concepts and technologies, including 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, and WIPS.
6. Experience with network services such as DHCP, DNS, and NTP.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex wireless network issues.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
9. HPE Aruba CX Wireless certifications (e.g. Aruba Certified Mobility Professional, Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional) are a plus.
