Image Sensor Engineer

Looking for an Image Sensor Product Analysis/Application Engineer will help evaluate image sensors at the application level, and support internal customers in integrating image sensors into systems.

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:

Electrical Engineer Bench working skills

Scripting automation capability to rationalize data after it’s been captured from the bench

Must be able to do application and system-level validation of Sensors (Application system-level tests)

Ad-hoc experiments with new sensors from partners

Experience with CMOS Image Sensors (Preferred).

Good to have skills:

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline

Firmware development experience using C/C++

Familiarity with JMP or other statistical software for data automation, and visualization

Responsibilities:

Image sensor product Analysis and Application support

Performing image sensor data collection and analysis

Provide Off-the-shelf and custom image sensors hands-on bring-up and testing support

Debug support of evaluation boards

Maintains sensor datasheet, application note, and reference design

Work with Image Sensor Lead to explore various sensor functions/features for system level use cases.

Draft application notes or technical white paper to showcase the potential improvements and/or alternative solutions at the system application level.

Minimum Qualification:

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline

2+ years of industry or related work experience

Experience working in an electro-optical laboratory environment

Image sensor evaluation boards/systems EE debugging experience

Scripting language experience using Python, MATLAB, or Perl

Experience working with scope, logic analyzer, muti-meter equipment and tools

Self-discipline, initiative, diligent, and motivation with the ability to work with limited supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualification:

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline

3+ years of industry experience in image sensor analysis and application Firmware development experience using C/C++ EE board design, and bringing up experience

Experience in MIPI D/C-PHY, I2C, and I3C

Experience with CMOS image sensor, ISP, image sensor performance merits and data analysis.

Experience with imaging processing and image quality related to image statistics, noise, defect pixel correction

Familiarity with camera FW and Image Sensor Control

Familiarity with JMP or other statistical software for data automation, and visualization
