Key requirements and responsibilities:
- Experience and Skills:
- DDI Solutions: You should have experience in designing and deploying DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Strong understanding and experience in troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in network automation using programming tools like Python and Ansible.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and streaming telemetry for network automation.
- Certifications: Infoblox certification or equivalent
CICA – Certified Infoblox Core Administrator
CICE – Certified Infoblox Core Engineer
CIST - Certified Infoblox Support Technician
- Practical Experience:
- Large-Scale Infrastructure: Minimum 5 years of practical experience as a network engineer in running large-scale DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructures.
- Network Architecture and Design: At least 5 years’ experience in network architecture, design, or operations.
- Architectural Skills:
- DDI Solutions: Demonstrated architectural skills in developing and driving new solutions for large DDI installations.
- Cloud Integration: Sophisticated knowledge of integrating DDI solutions into cloud provisioning and orchestration platforms (private/hybrid/public).
- Security and Network Knowledge:
- Security Integration: Profound security background to advise on integrating the DDI infrastructure with security tooling (e.g., SIEM, OpenDXL).
- Enterprise Networks: Solid understanding of enterprise networks, including Campus LAN/WLAN, MPLS WAN, SD-WAN, and data centers.
- Core Network Technologies: Familiarity with core network technologies such as routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- DNS Anycast: Implement DNS Anycast to enhance DNS service availability and distribute DNS queries across multiple servers.
- IP Address Discovery: Identify unauthorized devices on the network.
- DNS Load Balancing: Distribute client DNS queries across multiple DNS servers.
- RBAC Policies: Control user access and permissions within Infoblox DDI
