The Informatica Developer is responsible for developing and implementing data integration projects using Informatica suite of products (Power Center, IICS, IDMC, DPM, B2B, MFT, TDM etc). This role plays a pivotal part in shaping data integration practice at Kanerika, defining standards, and implementing the respective products successfully. The Informatica Developer collaborates with cross-functional teams to establish a data integration implementation expertise and culture within the organization.
 

 
 

You must possess very strong written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to think conceptually and pragmatically; capable of communicating with engineering managers and becoming an excellent technical expert on informatica suite of products and solutions. You possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm to embrace new challenges. You can multitask and prioritize (good time management skills), willing to display and learn. You should be able to work independently with less or no supervision. You should be process-oriented, have a methodical approach and demonstrate a quality-first approach and well versed with agile development methodologies.

What you will do
 

 
 

Key Responsibilities includes:
 

 
 

  1. Data Integration: Design, develop, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/IDMC/B2B/TDM/EDC/Axon to integrate data from various sources into target systems.
     
  2. Data Transformation: Create and implement data transformation logic, including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment, to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
     
  3. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks within integration processes, optimizing data integration workflows for maximum efficiency.
     
  4. Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data integration processes. Debug and resolve any data-related issues.
     
  5. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes, workflows, and data mappings for reference and audit purposes.
     
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data integration needs, and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
     
  7. Monitoring and Support: Monitor ETL jobs and provide timely support for any issues or failures. Implement error handling and recovery procedures.
     
  8. Security and Compliance: Ensure that data integration processes adhere to security and compliance standards, including data encryption, access controls, and data privacy regulations.
     
  9. Performance Tuning: Identify opportunities for performance improvements and implement enhancements to optimize data integration workflows.
     
  10. Upgrades and Maintenance: Stay updated with the latest Informatica versions and updates, and implement system upgrades and maintenance activities as needed.
     

 
 

 
 

 
 

 
 


 

Requirements

 

What you’ll bring
 

 
 

•     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT  or related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, or IT).
 

•     Proven experience in any one or more Informatica products on cloud (IICS or IDMC or EDC/Axon or TDM).
 

•     Strong knowledge of data integration best practices and industry standards.
 

•     Expertise in Informatica data governance tools and technologies is plus.
 

•     Understanding of data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
 

•     Certification in data governance (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, CDMP)  or Cloud Data Integration Developer etc is preferred.
 

•     Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT services, consulting implementing any one or more data integration solutions using Informatica products
 

•     Ability to articulate value proposition and differentiation.
 

•     Positive and a can-do attitude
 

•     Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot ETL issues.
 

•     Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
 

•     Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
 

•     Knowledge of data modeling and data integration best practices.
 

•     Strong SQL and database knowledge.
 

•     Scripting and automation skills (python, shell scripting)
