Infrastructure Cloud Architect

Job Description:

Pay Range $53hr - $58hr

• Design solutions to enable Client products to run in the public clouds.

Requirements:

• This role will engineer cloud solutions in Azure, AWS, and Google that leverage the following services.

Networking:

• Network boundaries.
• Routing (User Defined Routing, System Defined Routing, Advanced BGP).
• Network Access control.
• VPN.
• Load balancing (Network load balancing, application load balancing).
• DNS (cloud and public).
• Cloud specific firewall appliances (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Third party appliance deployment (ie., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).

Compute:

• API administration.
• Scripting (Terraform, Python, etc).
• Containers.
• Kubernetes in the cloud.
• Serverless functions.
• Virtual Machines (engineering, access management, vMotion,).

Access Control:

• IP based access lists.
• Identity management (user access, RBAC, Application identity mgmt and control).

Monitoring:

• Native cloud metrics gathering.
• Log collection.
• Performance evaluation.
• Alerting and Incident response.

Storage:

• Adding a disk to virtual machines.
• General vSAN knowledge.
• Storage vMotion.

Workflow:

• Migrating to the cloud.
• Migrating among clouds.
• Refactoring applications.
• Continuous development.
• Resource management (cost control, quotas, forecasting).
