Instructional Technology Specialist

Essential Functions:

• Support new technologies to discover new and better ways to improve teaching and learning.
• Assist, consult, and provide outreach to faculty in the use of technology for teaching and learning, with explicit concern for their individual teaching goals.
• Lead presentations, workshops, discussions, and individualized meetings with faculty on a wide variety of instructional technologies and related topics for improving teaching and learning.
• Support for LMS (learning management system) instances and other teaching and learning technologies. Troubleshoots system and technology issues and interacts with vendors as needed.
• Assist faculty in learning management systems and other technologies to deliver instruction in multiple modes (eg face-to-face, online; hybrid).
• Provide faculty with a variety of strategies to manage student learning in digital environments and support faculty as they implement those strategies.
• Assist faculty in discovering methods of improving their instruction with and without technology.
• Resolve Level II and Level III Help Desk issues for teaching and learning  technologies.
