Your role and responsibilities

As an IS Interface Consultant and part of the Engineering Applications (PLM) team, you will be responsible to collaborate with ABB stakeholders for process implementation and optimization to meet ABB Business Use Case requirements. You will be responsible for roll-in projects will take complete ownership of consulting activities related to SAP which includes data migration consulting from SAP and the SAP Interface development/consulting/support with Windchill PLM. The work model for the role is: #LI- #Hybrid This role is contributing to the Core IS Services, we are looking for candidates in Bangalore, India. You will be expected to execute following activities. Responsible for developing the ABB SAP interfaces with Windchill and deploying changes on local ABB SAP Boxes as per business requirements. Support Process and Application harmonization under alignment with the business’s targets. Support of global roll-in at several ABB locations like execution of workshops for project presentation, requirements gathering, system integration tests, user acceptance tests, go-live and post go live mentoring. Coordinate with vendors/teams supporting the GPLM application to drive problems to closure, process Mapping and harmonization of methods to reduce system complexity. Presentation of change requests to ABB Change Board members; for this, the request must be appropriately qualified, and a "Technical Specification Document" must then be created.

Qualifications for the role

 

  • Education: Bachelor's in the fields of computer science, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the field of SAP & PLM (Windchill) with ABAP
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the implementation of SAP integration with Windchill. Knowledge on MQ mechanisms, SFTP, cloud architecture, Biztalk is desirable.
  • Teamwork, adaptability, analytical thinking, client focus, business processes understanding.
