Job Duties

 

  • Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Make changes to the software to improve the performance to run the batch processes and client reports faster as the volume of the data is increasing.
  • Completing models and simulations, using manual or automated tools, to analyze or predict system performance under different operating conditions.
  • Analyzing the performance of databases periodically and providing reports of most expensive queries.
  • Identifying system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
  • Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions.
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture.
  • Maintaining active directories by adding and removing users to active directory groups based on the business requirement.
  • Providing budget estimates and hardware requirements for adding more servers, disk space and users.
  • Evaluating current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
  • Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, or organizational impact of information systems.
  • Direct the installation of operating systems, network or application software, or computer or network hardware.
  • Collect and analyze data using SQL server to measure the performance of the queries, which are designed to retrieve and save data
  • Working on installing single login technologies to grant users access to multiple applications.

  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
  • Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software

  • Handle server repositories - space issues, archiving, backups
