Monitor and validate adherence to Enterprise Standards that business and technical metadata in the enterprise metadata platform is complete, accurate, and current.
Measure and report on the quality, completeness, and accuracy of business metadata, technical metadata, and data lineage.
Point of contact for coordinating and managing data governance activities for a domain.
Support definition and articulation of business data dictionary that is aligned to physical data assets (e.g., define data requirements and align business elements to data elements)
Engage and collaborate with application owners and data stewards to execute activities for the data produced within a domain (e.g., articulate business requirements, rules, workflows, and procedures)
Monitor, drive, and report on data quality issue management lifecycle for a domain
Perform data impact assessments, data risk assessment, remediation/solution definition, and status management of all inflight change efforts impacting cross-functional data domains.
Support analysis and reporting on data issues and escalate to DG Lead
Partner across business and technology teams to ensure alignment and consistency across vertical business units and enterprise functions.
Provide inputs for root cause identification, remediation approaches, and resourcing, and work with Business, IT, and other stakeholders to coordinate prioritization and resourcing.
Responsible for solving data-related issues and communicating resolutions with other domains while partnering with the data governance team to ensure solutions adhere to the organization’s data principles and guidelines (support hub and spoke governance model)
Collaborate with business and corporate functions and key stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment across people, processes, technology, data, and policy.
Support the development of deliverables and documentation (e.g., project plans, process documentation, process flows, roadmap)
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working as a data analyst or steward within a data function.
Demonstrated experience defining, delivering, and or managing business metadata.
Demonstrated collaboration ability across stakeholder groups and/or cross-functional data domains.
Extensive experience with basic data management principles and concepts, data standards, business data requirements, and business rules.
Ability to work collaboratively with analysts, architects, modelers, business, and technical teams.
Experience in SQL for generating quality assessments and insight generation.
Subject matter knowledge of bank operations and/or financial services
Experience creating and using data models and data definitions.
Experience implementing and enforcing data control mechanisms.
Experience with improving data quality and resolving data deficiencies.
Expertise in relationship building with different roles and levels in the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in business or technology.
Required Education and Experience
3+ years working in a data management capability focused on defining and managing critical data sets across one or more data domains.
5+ years of experience fulfilling the role of a Data Steward or similar Data Management capability.
