IT Contract Manager

Houston, TX (Onsite)

6 months Contract with possibility to extension

This role is responsible for IT contract management, maintenance, coordination, and support in facilitating IT-related City Council agenda items.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking contract spend. Contracting worked with SAP higher-level work with numbers and projections.
  • Invoice analysis, contract, routine tracking of utilization in SAP.
  • Spreadsheet projection and contract term tracking.
  • EXCEL is a must, SAP is nice to have
  • Compiling data, producing information, and developing reports and analysis.
  • Performing tasks related to maintenance and management of active contracts and compiling data to facilitate current and future contract planning and contract compliance.
  • Preparing and revising contract briefs summarizing contractual requirements, spending authority, and budgets.
  • Analyzes and summarizes existing data to recommend allocation for proposed contracts and agreements.
  • Monitors, reviews, and manages contract spend and coordinates with technical divisions to forecast spend.
  • Presents written and oral summaries of analytical research and findings to management and examines financial data to assist in management decisions.
  • Maintains current and accurate financial records.
  • Prepares Request for Council Actions (RCAs) and the coordination with other departments such as Strategic Purchasing Division (SPD), including but not limited to, facilitating and gathering documents from vendors and divisions required for HITS and enterprise-wide IT contracts.
  • Assisting HITS technical divisions in the preparation of presentations to City Council and other committees.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and providing recommendations regarding contractual documents and contract compliance.
  • Completes special projects, as assigned.
  • The person should be coachable, Good at communication, good on phone, and enjoys learning.
  • White paper- receiving, reviewing, adding to RCA Forecast
  • RCA Forecast- updating, maintaining and comparing with the Legal tracker
  • Sending out weekly emails on Agenda items for the following week
  • Sending out the results emails of Council actions
  • Watching Council
  • Logging passed Council actions
  • Agenda briefing forms- MAYBE
