Description

Responsibilities:

Perform defined processes and practices to manage systems, software, and networks to ensure consistent and reliable operation to meet business needs.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and/or respond to outages.

Interface with University organizations to resolve service-related issues.

Manage, research, and resolve complex end-user escalation incidents.

Maintain reliability of systems and networks by monitoring, running tests, and troubleshooting.

Test and perform upgrades and patches to installed operating systems and software.

Monitor backups and plans for installed systems.

Maintain familiarity of recovery plans for every critical function.

May install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and support systems, networks, and software.

May develop plans, schedules, and requirements for deployment of systems.

May design and develop custom programs to aid in systems management.

Monitor, maintain, and execute automation processes and procedures.

Work with Office of Information Security to monitor threats, alerts, and security vulnerabilities for installed systems; implement response plan for various types of threats and attacks.

Create and maintain system documentation of processes, procedures, plans, and configurations.

Qualifications:

No degree requirements, however, at least 5 years' experience in the IT field working at a production site.

Strong desktop support Experience.

Experience with Windows O/S, O365, Teams, Teams phones, Active Directory (active roles preferred).

Experience with printers, Basic Server O/S.

Setting up shares and permissions, image computers, adding email to iPhones, make patch cables.

Understand switches (how they work and access by putty).

Can create and keep up documentation.

Worked with Intermec printers and scanners.

Worked with raspberry PIs.

Worked with Dell computers.

Additional Information:

This position is on site, Monday Friday no WFH.

Usually, 8 hours a day but may need to work later or weekend due to work flows.

Have worked in a production environment and can wear safety shoes and be on their feet in a dirty production area.

Must Haves:
